Our program can be catered toward kids, teens, and adults. What the Program Entails You will go through a brief screening process to assess if there is an indication that you may suffer from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder also known as ADHD. If so, we will want to conduct a more in-depth evaluation to gather more information to see if you meet criteria for a diagnosis of ADHD. If a diagnosis is met, you will have an opportunity to meet with our psychiatrist, who can further assist you with discussion on medication and medication management. There is also a choice for you to be part of group therapy to further your understanding and develop appropriate coping skills for ADHD while connecting with others on the path of success. We also offer a home-based computerized training program, known as Cogmed where it has been clinically proven that after training, people’s ability to concentrate improved, they were able to control impulsive behavior and better utilize complex reasoning skills.

In the end, better academic and professional performance can be achieved. Cogmed Computerized Training Users are motivated and train effectively with the unique coaching method and program. Training takes place at home, five days a week, for five weeks, ranging between 35 to 50 minutes. The program automatically increases in difficulty, gradually improving the user’s abilities. This program is scientifically validated by placebo-controlled clinical studies published in respected professional journals, and there is ongoing research at several leading U.S. universities, and worldwide. Working Memory We use working memory every day. It is the ability to keep information in your mind for a short time, focus on a task and remember what to do next. With working memory deficit, it is difficult to stay focused, ignore distractions, plan next steps, remember instructions, and start and finish tasks. The Cogmed program, backed by clinical evidence, is proven to train and improve a person’s working memory. To put it simply, increasing working memory capacity improves attention, which helps improve academic and professional performance.
